Two people were injured Thursday night in a shooting in the parking lot of the Shops of Miller Road near Wilmington's Haynes Park.

Delaware State Police say the incident happened just prior to 8:30 p.m.

A 34-year-old woman was at a local hospital with a "non-life-threatening injury," police said, and a 38-year-old man was also treated for what police said were "minor injuries."

No other injuries were reported and no suspect information was available.

Police were on the scene investigating the parking lot of the shopping center just outside the Wilmington city border.

One of the windows at Hot Spot Pizza was struck and damaged. An owner of the business said no one was injured inside, and the restaurant continued service while police investigated, delivering takeout orders to patrons outside the police tape.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Tenebruso of the Troop 2 Criminal Investigative Unit by calling 302-365-8435. Information may also be provided by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333 or online at www.delaware.crimestoppersweb.com.
