2 teens shot in Wilmington Saturday night

Two teens were shot in Wilmington Saturday night, according to police.

An 18-year-old man was shot in the city's East Side neighborhood, police said. The shooting occurred at 7:28 p.m. in the 900 block of Pine St., police said.


The only other information police shared is the man arrived at the hospital in "stable condition."


About three hours later, a 17-year-old boy was shot in Wilmington's West Center

City neighborhood, according to police. The shooting occurred in the 700 block of N. Madison St. at 11:47 p.m., police said.


The boy was taken to the hospital in "stable condition," police said.

Police did not say whether they believe the shootings were related.


Police ask anyone with information regarding the shooting on Pine Street to contact Detective Kevin Murphy at (302) 576-3972. Those with information regarding the shooting on North Madison Street are encouraged by police to contact Detective Michael Wilkerson at (302) 576-3638.
