22-year-old man fatally shot Friday in Wilmington has been identified by police

A 22-year-old man shot dead in Wilmington's East Side community Friday has been identified by police as Quinton Dorsey.


Officers dispatched to the 900 block of Lombard St. on Friday evening found the wounded man there. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.


Wilmington police have not provided further details about the incident.

Dorsey was the 15th person killed this year by gunfire in Wilmington. Another man, 19-year-old Matima Miller, was shot dead four days later in the city's Southbridge neighborhood bringing Wilmington's death toll by gunfire to 16 this year.
