26-year-old man stable after being shot near 29th and Washington

A 26-year-old man is in stable condition after being shot Friday night in the area of 29th and Washington streets, according to Wilmington Police.


Police said the incident occurred just before 11 p.m. Friday night, and no other information was available.


The man was the seventh person reported shot in Wilmington this week. 


Earlier Friday night, an 18-year-old was in stable condition after being shot near 24th and Carter streets.


After a violent July, the most violent since The News Journal started tracking gun violence in Wilmington in 2011, this week saw seven people shot over five incidents in four days.
