Delaware State Police are asking for the public's help to identify a driver who left a pedestrian to die after a crash a month ago.

On Dec. 23 at 8:10 p.m., a 44-year-old Millsboro woman was standing in the west lane of Zoar Road west of Fieldwood Drive in Georgetown when a vehicle struck her, police said.

Police do not know where the driver went.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. She was dressed in dark clothing and there are no street lights where the crash occurred.

Zoar Road was closed for about five hours while the crash was investigated and cleared, police said.

Police asked anyone with information to contact Cpl. A. Mitchell at (302)-703-3267.
