One man was killed and another was injured during a double shooting in Wilmington's West Center City section Wednesday night.

Police said the shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the 800 block of N. Monroe St. A 22-year-old man was located at the scene and taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A 28-year-old man was also wounded and is listed in stable condition, police said.

The focus of the scene was located outside a liquor store at Eighth and Monroe streets.
