Double shooting in Wilmington leaves one dead Wednesday night

One man was killed and another was injured during a double shooting in Wilmington's West Center City section Wednesday night.
Police said the shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the 800 block of N. Monroe St. A 22-year-old man was located at the scene and taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A 28-year-old man was also wounded and is listed in stable condition, police said.
The focus of the scene was located outside a liquor store at Eighth and Monroe streets.

The fatal shooting is the third in as many days in Wilmington. A 33-year-old man was killed Monday evening in northeast Wilmington. Then, early Wednesday morning, a 30-year-old Bear man was killed during an incident involving New Castle County Police in Wilmington's Riverside community.
