Elsmere fire displaces two adults, no injuries


Delaware Online-


Two adults have been displaced after a fire in an Elsmere home Saturday evening. 

The fire, reported just after 5:30 p.m., happened in the 100 block of Linden Avenue in the Elsmere Manor development. 

Firefighters from the Elsmere Fire Company arrived to find smoke pouring from the house.


No one was home when the fire was discovered. A neighbor who heard the smoke alarms called 911. 

State fire investigators are still searching for the cause of the fire. Damages are estimated at $10,000. The American Red Cross is providing emergency assistance to the two displaced adults.
