A two-alarm fire early Friday morning damaged a storage unit in Bear.

The fire was reported at about 12:50 a.m. at Storage Rentals of America at 200 E. Scotland Drive, according to police scanner traffic.

When crews arrived on the scene, firefighters saw flames shooting from a storage unit and spreading to others, said Michael Chionchio, an assistant fire marshal with the state Fire Marshal's Office.

Twelve units were damaged by the blaze. Investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire, Chionchio said.

Damages were estimated at $250,000. No injuries were reported, Chionchio said.
