A man and woman from Frederica were held at gunpoint Wednesday morning while several men ransacked their house, Delaware State Police said.

Troopers were dispatched to the home on Maple Drive shortly before 1:15 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about a home invasion, police said.

When troopers arrived, a 41-year-old woman told them three men armed with long guns had kicked in her front door. One suspect held her and her 42-year-old boyfriend at gunpoint, taking their phones to prevent them from calling 911.

The other two men then ransacked the home, looking for money, police said. All three suspects ultimately left without any money or the cellphones.

The victim told police two of the suspects were thin, black men with a dark complexion who were about 5 foot 10 to 6 feet tall. They were wearing dark clothing and a mask over their faces.

The third suspect was described as a stockier black man, also with a dark complexion, who was shorter than the other two suspects and was also wearing dark clothing and a mask.

Police ask anyone with information to contact Troop 3's Major Crimes Unit at (302) 697-4454.
