A Lewes man has been charged with trying to kill a 32-year-old man last week near Milford.
According to Delaware State Police 28-year-old James A. Satcher shot a Georgetown man after the two began fighting on Wednesday.
Troopers dispatched to Betsy Ross Circle about 5:35 p.m. found the Georgetown man had a gunshot wound to the neck.
"The victim was transported to a local area hospital and treated for his injury," according to Senior Cpl. Heather Pepper, a police spokeswoman.
Satcher was arrested on Monday and charged with first-degree attempted murder and two weapons offenses. He has been committed to Howard R.
Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $1,000,080 cash bail.
This is at least the second time Satcher has been charged in a shooting.
Satcher was accused of shooting a then-34-year-old man following a dispute inside the older man's Lincoln home on Aug. 13, 2016. Satcher was charged with first-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangering in the first degree, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.
The charges were dropped four months later.
