Delaware State Police are still searching for the driver of a car who hit a man while he was biking home from work on Christmas Eve.

According to police and a GoFundMe set up to help pay for medical treatment, José Hernández was biking on the Route 141 entrance ramp from Kirkwood Highway at about 7:15 p.m. Thursday when he was hit.

Hernández suffered a bad head injury, leaving him unconscious, the GoFundMe said. Paramedics took him to a local hospital, where he is "not doing good," according to the fundraiser.

Police said Monday the investigation remains active, but they do not currently have a description of the car that hit Hernández. The GoFundMe has been set up to help Hernández's family pay for medical bills.

Hernández has already undergone two surgeries. The GoFundMe can be found at: https://gofund.me/e7f3c38f.
