Suspect arrested for December 5th shooting in Wilmington

A suspect is now in custody in connection with a shooting in Wilmington last week.

They were able to link 39-year-old Thomas Tate to a shooting in the 800 block of Kirkwood Street last Monday that left a 42-year-old man hospitalized, city police said.

Tate was arrested Friday and booked into the Howard Young Prison on assault and firearms counts.
