Two teenagers were shot and are listed in stable condition after a shooting in Wilmington's Riverside section Friday night.
Wilmington Police said the shooting occurred around 6:37 p.m. on Jensen Drive off of N. Claymont Street, right around the corner from where a shooting occurred last Thursday.
The investigation was focused on an apartment on Jensen Drive.
Police said the victims were a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy. They were both transported to the hospital.
The incident is the second shooting in consecutive days in Wilmington after four consecutive days without a shooting in the city, which was the longest such stretch in July.
Twelve minors have been shot in July.
The Friday night shooting is the 72nd shooting incident in Wilmington in 2020, the third-most shootings to-date (as of July 24) over the last 10 years, according to The News Journal's shooting database. There have been 91 shootings victims in 2020, tied for the second-most as of July 24 over the last 10 years.
