Two wounded in early morning shooting in Dover, 'unknown male suspects' at large

Delaware Online-

Two men were injured early Monday morning after being shot by five or six "unknown male suspects," Dover police said.

The victims, a 19-year-old and 30-year-old, were on the porch of a home in the 100 block of S. New St. when the group of men walked up to them, according to Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman.

The gunmen fired "multiple" times at the victims, Hoffman said, hitting both men in the legs. They then ran on foot toward South Queen Street.

Both victims were treated at Kent General Hospital for their injuries, which Hoffman said were non-life-threatening.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Dover Police Department at (302) 736-7130.
