Wilmington police arrested a 28-year-old man in connection to a Saturday night shooting in the city.
The shooting occurred at about 8:25 p.m. in the first block of W. 27th St., police said. A 52-year-old gunshot victim was taken to the hospital where he was reported to be stable, police said.
Officers detained Andre Davis at the scene, police said. Through an investigation, police obtained and executed a search warrant. Police said they found a .32-caliber handgun that was reported stolen.
Police did not offer any further details.
Davis has been charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and receiving a stolen firearm.
Davis was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $233,000 cash-only bail.
