Wilmington shooting: 14-year-old boy shot, sent to hospital

A 14-year-old boy was sent to the hospital after being shot Thursday night on Wilmington's North Monroe Street.

Wilmington police responded to the 3000 block around 8:25 p.m. and found the boy. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said.

Police were seen closing the 2900 block of N. Monroe St. and the 500 block of W. 30th St.

Police said the shooting remains under investigation and that further details will be released when possible.
