A man who pleaded guilty years ago to charges stemming from a 2011 robbery-turned-shooting was arrested again last week in connection with another shooting, Wilmington police said.

Jimvonte Chrisden, 27, was charged with attempted murder and conspiracy, and also faces several firearms charges in connection with the Aug. 23 incident on East 24th Street.

He's accused of seriously injuring a 43-year-old man by shooting him several times just before 9 p.m. Police have not given a motive for the shooting.

Chrisden's previous charges stem from a June 10, 2011 incident on Vandever Avenue and Buena Vista Street.

The victim, who was shot several times in his right thigh, said three people tried to rob him, and one pulled out a handgun and shot him. He ran on foot and a friend drove him to Wilmington Hospital.

Chrisden was arrested on June 16, 2011, and later pleaded guilty. Information on his sentenced was not immediately available.

He's being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $600,000 cash-only bail in connection with the most recent shooting.
